Review: Canmake Perfect Serum BB Cream Light #02

Hey all, I'm back with a new review on this Japanese BB cream!

This BB cream is from a Japanese drugstore brand called Canmake. It aims to be a skincare, base/foundation, UV shield and natural cover (?) with 21 beauty ingredients contained in the cream.

I bought it in the colour #02 natural. Which is the more tanned colour. At first glance it's very dark but when blended it becomes very sheer and adjusts to your skin colour. It's actually more orange based which I do not like at all.

The BB cream smothered on my hand.

There are many things it claims to do but it almost fails on every point besides giving you sun protection. Although it is SPF50 PA+++ it feels sticky, smells like sunscreen and is oily as hell. I've tried to use this BB cream but it always has ended up slipping off my entire face. Which means its longevity is also something to be conscious of. It's coverage is sheer. Way too sheer for me, it's a tinted sunscreen, that's what it feels like. I have both an oily T-zone and dry patches on my skin. It doesn't lay well on dry skin either and it's broken me out. And since it's oily and my skin is oily it doesn't stay on my skin. There's no win.

I haven't used it for awhile but when I saw it again and squeezed some out, the product was split. In the sense that the oil had separated from the BB cream. Watery foundation tend to do this but a BB cream? It was nasty. I have not even had this product for a year and it's split. You can see the oil on my hand there where it's reflecting off. When I wear this for an entire day I can feel the product splitting on my face. I see patches of pigment but when I touch my face it's pure oil.

The oil that came out when I squeezed the product on my hand.

I don't have a lot to say with this BB cream it's just bad. I do not recommend it for any skin type. For its price it's a waste of money. ($28AU). Do not buy this especially if you're looking for a medium/high coverage face.To summarize it's a sticky, oily, smelly, sheer, split cream that does not stay on my face, makes my face oily as a frying pan and breaks me out. Steer clear there are so many better quality cheaper BB creams out there.

Thanks for reading! :)
