Kao Liese Bubble Hair Color: Sweet Apricot -Result/Swatch- *UPDATED*

This is part 2 of my result with the Kao Liese Bubble Hair Dye in Sweet Apricot. I have already done another post of the same product months back but I decided to do it a second time because I wasn't happy with the quality and amount of photos. And since I was going to use the same color again because I loved it so much I thought why not?

If you're new to Kao Liese bubble hair dyes, what they are essentially are, are foam dyes instead of your typical cream coloring. Personally I find this so much more easier. I think I may have mentioned my tips in the other post but I'll say them again. It's really important you get a lather, as if you've washed your hair with shampoo. If you don't have a good lather you won't get a vibrant or even hair coloring. For myself I use two boxes and my hair is at chest area. I think you could away with one box if your hair is above chest length and really thin, but if it's super thick like mine it'd be good to have a second box on hand. It's also better to scrunch and massage than stroke when applying.

Before: My hair was dyed with Kao Liese Chiffon Beige and a Schwarzkopf red dye that lasted a week (lmao, fail). Essentially it was a medium brown tone and black roots.

After: A more even orange auburn warm brown. It's not a straight up orange it's very wearable and is mixed with a red brown undertone. It has lightened my hair maybe half a shade/a shade lighter. My roots were black so if you're wondering what it looks like on black hair you can see it lightens really well to a warm brown. By all means it doesn't cover my roots completely but my hair does look like one color in most lights.

More after photos more auburn or orange in different lights

If you're still hesitant on the hair color and need a face, Tiffany from SNSD had an orange hair color in 2012 (watch Time Machine) and it is really similar if not exact to what the color looks like. (Credit on pictures).

Remember you will get a color like this if your hair is a dark/medium BROWN not a black. I recommend you to lighten your hair with a color like Milk Tea Brown from the same range first.

Who would I recommend this color to? I would say really pale skintones would suit a color like this as it brings out the paleness even more. It can be very easy to have your skin match your hair with this color so avoid if you're tanned.

You all know I love this product and it's still the best hair dye that lasts and shows up on my hair. This was again more of a result/swatch post.

Thanks for reading! What color from the Kao Liese range do you use? ^___^

  1. Hi there! Love your post and your hair <3
I want to ask would you recommend to dye with Rose Tea Brown first then Sweet Apricot or the other way around? I have black virgin hair and very pale skin if that helps ^^

    1. Aw thank you! You are too kind and this is 3 years late haha. Hope it might still help out someone.

I haven't used the Rose Tea Brown shade before. I think Sweet Apricot will do a better job at lifting because black hair already has an orange undertone when trying to lift. Any rose/pink shade will be more difficult to get unless your hair is very light. I would probably use any of the blonde shades in the range first to lift and then use the Rose Tea or Sweet Apricot shade after :)
