Review: NYX Butter Glosses in Peach Cobbler and Cherry Cheesecake

I LOVE NYX products. And apparently NYX has come to Australia (can I get a hallejujah?) but I have yet to see it in my local Target???? Which is both good and a bad thing since it stopped me from raiding the entire counter. Anyways this will be a short post where I'll touch briefly on the quality and results of the product.

I bought this on Urban Outfitters and every time I place an order at Urban Outfitters I always have to buy something from NYX as well. So cheap at $5 each and very convenient to shop there. I needed some glosses as I only own about 3 lip glosses in colors I don't even use lol. The Nyx Butter Glosses were very hyped and I really enjoyed the color range on offer.

I bought two colors and these are the more brighter colors. I chose Peach Cobbler which is a red/coral shade and Cherry Cheesecake, a vibrant pure orange. I feel like the names should be swapped around (0_0).

They are the same size as the Soft Matte Lip Creams, very compact and light. The color of the gloss inside is translated on the outside of the bottle. It has a doe foot applicator which is the norm, nothing new.

The pigmentation is fantastic, I thought they were liquid lipsticks at first. But of course when blended they are a lot more sheer. The consistency is VERY thick. It's a little harder to glide on. I also think it's really sticky too but it helps with the hydration. The gloss has no shimmer of glitter so it will give a nice natural shine. The smell is so cute and sweet. Each one has a different scent similar to the desserts they're named from.

Peach Cobbler is a red/coral shade. Really brightens up the face and creates a natural rosy shine on your lips. Cherry Cheesecake can be a little hard to pull off but I think oranges look great with girls and guys with yellow undertones. Personally, oranges are my favorite color for the lips. This is true orange color and I think it's a really fun and different color to have. Over a nude it can create a really cute peachy color.

L-R Peach Cobbler, Cherry Cheesecake
I do recommend these although they are quite thick and sticky and don't have a longevity that stands out. Overall it's such a non-fuss product because you can wear it on its own. Although these particular colors seem very bright it's balanced out by being a lipgloss. So the end result still has the color payoff but is a lot more natural and wearable. I would love to try out the more nude ones.

Thanks for reading!!
