This is my first favorites post I really enjoy seeing everyone's monthly favorites it's a little more personal and fun so I thought I would start doing them. Anyways today I'll be sharing with you my July Favorites~
That's not a mouthful at all- The Close up decuple by Ladykin is a powder compact. With this I feel like I can lay down the concealer. It's a powder with coverage, so it completely blurs my blemishes. Whereas concealer can look cakey and stick on dry spots, this powder surprisingly looks natural and my skin appears silky smooth. Plus it has great SPF. Note it only lasts about 3 hours on the skin but it's a favorite because it's converted me to coverage powders.
Powder Blush in Peach by NYX
I never thought I would like a matte blush but this blush gives me the perfect sheen to every look. It is extremely bright and pigmented so pale ladies like myself need a really small amount. The color although called peach is more of a straight up pink not too light or dark, exactly what you need for any look.
I originally owned a different color in the same range by Essence but I couldn't find it and this was the most similar shade, so much so I think they reformulated it. I'm not sure if I like this one better but I do still like it! It's a shimmery orange copper shade that's really hard to find. It is very orange but it suits my brown eyes. Although far from buttery for its price it's a deal.
Juicy Pop Tube in Apricot by Etude House
Simple cute tube gloss. Not everyone is a fan of the squeeze tube but I do find it more convenient to bring when I go out instead of busting out the doe foot applicator glosses. The color is quite sheer and it's a nice natural coral pink shade.
I needed some lip liners and decided to go for the cheaper options. This is really nice as it glides on, moisturizing and pigmented for the price. The natural pink shade of the Savvy pencil means my lips just get an added oomph. While the Essence pencil is a more brown nude that plumps up my lips.
Non-makeup Favorites
Book - Unwind by Neal Shusterman
A chilling book about a dystopian future where kids between the ages of 13 and 18 are put up for unwounding under their parent's consent. Unwounding is essentially where they harvest every part of your body and then give it to someone who needs it. In this way parents can get rid of their children they don't want but they still technically live on in a part of someone else so theoretically it's not bloody murder. It's a unique and eye-opening read.
Movie - Perks of Being a Wallflower
It's an oldie but a goodie. I loved it when it came out but recently I've been watching this a lot in July so it had to be in my favorites. If there's one movie I want everyone to see it's this one. It's a high school movie and the rest you can figure out. A really touching melancholic film about youth.
TV Show - BREAKING BAD
It's in capitals for a reason because I can finally see what the deserving hype is about. After struggling to get past through the first episode of season for the past year and a half I've done it this month. And I'm so glad I've done it. Incredibly intense in every way with an amazing array of actors and characters. It's about a man by the name of Walter White who after being diagnosed with lung cancer runs a meth lab to collect money for his family. If you're tired hearing about it, well I'm not sorry, it deserves to be talked about. Haha.
Music

Thanks for reading, I hope you get a chance to try out some my favorites, they're all quite affordable. I've tried to provide links of where I personally bought them but some aren't available anymore. I'm sure a quick Google search would show you other places to buy them!
