Review: Maybelline Full 'N Soft Mascara

Yay another mascara review. I always love doing mascara reviews because I love mascara....and lots of it. This Maybelline mascara seems to be the shy one in the corner among their other mascaras. And it's usually the shy ones that are bubbling up something unexpected right? ^__^

I feel like the Full 'N Soft Mascara by Maybelline is that quiet achiever among their mascara line. This one's not talked about too much but it has just as great reviews out there amongst its counterparts. I have to say Maybelline mascaras have never worked out for me besides Great Lash but I wanted to try anyways.

I bought this on the Priceline sale for $10AU (score!). It's a couple dollars cheaper than their other mascaras because this is by far my favorite mascara by Maybelline. It's a sign we're meant to be.

The packaging is simple I really like the shape of the mascara it's a long cylindrical tube, it just feels....nice? Idk. I bought the non-waterproof (because we all know what a bitch waterproof is to get off).

When opening the mascara there is extra product at the tip of the brush that I would advise to wipe back in the tube. The brush itself is quite a nice size, not too big not too small. There are long bristles that I have a love hate relationship with because they always seem to catch my eyelid when I apply my mascara but they also make for dramatic lashes.

The formula is wet but it doesn't feel wet...it's hard to explain. The wet formula means my lashes are really lengthened and fanned out but it doesn't clump the stick the lashes together (which usually happens with a wet formula). I think that's due to the fact this mascara keeps the lashes soft even after application. This means you can put on more coats despite it's wet formula meaning you can get a really dramatic lash without being afraid it will clump or stick too much. I also find it's quite lightweight so my lashes aren't weighed down and keep its curl.

I think it does an amazing job on lengthening the lashes. This is by far the best mascara I've used on my bottom lashes as well. It defines quite well and like I've said it fans out your lashes really well for a wide-eyed look but you can see it does stick a couple lashes together. As for thickening, it's not too great but that's okay because it's dramatic enough even without it.

Lengthening: 9/10
Defining: 8/10
Thickening: 7/10

I highly recommend this mascara it gives you such a doe-eyed fresh look. It's dramatic but in a more lengthened and fanned out way. It's a really good all round mascara perfect for everyday or a night out and I think this is Maybelline's hidden gem.

What's your favorite Maybelline mascara? :)
