Foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear, Bourjois Healthy Mix
ELDW has been raved and hyped for a while but I only got to try it myself this year. It has been a standout foundation providing a high coverage while being non-transferable and completely long-lasting.
The Bourjois Healthy Mix was a year long favorite completely used up in December. It is so light, fresh and feels amazing on the skin. I loved this for everyday and while it's a bit dewy it's nothing a primer and powder can't fix.
Powder: Ladykin Close-up Decuple
One of the best products I have found this year. I have used one compact in a matter of months and I'm on my second already. It blurs my scars, makes my skin matte but also natural like a silky velvet finish. IT IS SO GOOD. It makes my skin look flawless.
Eyeshadow: Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Stick in Ginger Flame, Etude House Bling Bling Stick
It's been a year for eyeshadow sticks. They are so easy to use and the perfect shape to highlight the inner corners. I especially love the Covergirl stick for its champagne toast color while I love the Etude House stick for when I want a glittery gold punch. Review here.
Primer: Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer
Hands down the best product I have found this year. It's $12 and keeps my eyeshadow on ALL DAY. I never thought it was possible for my oily eyes. I am so grateful for this product for allowing me to finally experiment and wear eyeshadows and for also eradicating any smudging I used to have from my eyeliner and mascara. Bless.
Essence, Revlon, Etude House, Covergirl Swatches |
I was so into reddy lipsticks in 2014 I always gravitated to red lip products and it was very much a year of experimentation. In 2015 I will definitely be rocking these. The Essence lipstick is my favorite everyday lipstick a muted coral shade more red than orange. The Revlon lip stain is my favorite formulation and I would recommend all the colors but I especially loved New York Scene and classic red. Surprisingly hydrating, high pigmentation and lasts super well.
Skincare: Biore UV Bright Face Milk SPF 50+ PA+++
Review here. In short not only being such a great product against the sun it is also thin and MATTE. This works AMAZING as a matte primer even though it's not actually meant to be one. This is a life changer.
And that concludes my short list of beauty favourites for 2014! If you are wondering about mascara, blush and nail polish I didn't have any favourites in particular and they were already lifelong favorites. I have put links to where I personally bought these products if you want to know where I got them!
Thanks for reading! What was one beauty favorite for you in 2014? xx
